DLR Institute of Aerodynamics and Flow Technologoy

The Institute of Aerodynamics and Flow Technology is the central facility of the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) for fluid mechanics. It is a leading research institute in the fields of aircraft and vehicle aerodynamics, aircraft aeroacoustics, aerospace aerothermodynamics and wind energy research. More than 350 employees are currently involved in theoretical-numerical and experimental investigations on aircraft and spacecraft, with experiments being carried out both in wind tunnels and in flight tests.
