DLR Institute of Atmospheric Physics

The Institute of Atmospheric Physics (IPA) at the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) conducts research into the physics and chemistry of the global atmosphere from the ground up to 120 kilometres altitude. It was founded on 1 July 1962 and has about 240 employees (as of April 2024).
