We were looking for a new framework agreement partner to provide us with computing time on superconducting quantum computing hardware. The contract has now been awarded to the IT services provider Bechtle, with IQM Finland acting as a subcontractor.
Different use cases benefit to varying degrees from different hardware platforms. That is why technological diversity is so important to us in hardware development and when comparing potential quantum use cases across different hardware platforms.
We are currently developing quantum computers based on five different qubit technologies and will make these computers available on our Connect compute platform as soon as they are ready. We are therefore all the more delighted to be able to provide our application teams – via Bechtle – with computing capacity on IQM Finland’s superconducting systems in future.
