Gain an insight into the latest findings from the QML project QLearning. Find out which hybrid and quantum-based agents can be used for reinforcement learning. Exchange ideas with participants from other DLR QCI projects. All this will be possible at the Quantum Processors for Reinforcement Learning workshop on 19 November 2026. Those interested can attend either in person at the DLR Institute of Quantum Technologies in Ulm or online.
The workshop will present the latest findings from QLearning. Demonstrations of hybrid and quantum-assisted agents for reinforcement learning, as well as software pipelines for quantum-assisted machine learning, are planned. Quantum tools for real-world optimisation problems will also be presented. The workshop will feature contributions from the QCMobility, Klim-QML and Quant²AI projects. The morning talks will be held in a hybrid format; however, it is well worth travelling to Ulm for the poster session and the informal discussions in the afternoon. Quantum algorithms can accelerate the search for rewarded actions and thus the learning process in reinforcement learning. However, many challenges still need to be overcome for real-world application – challenges such as those addressed in QLearning.
