Come and join a conversation that will create real impact for the quantum computing ecosystem. AFQC 2025: Impact takes our exchange forum and makes it much more engaging and impactful.

Participation is free, but you need to register to take part in the AFQC 2025: Impact. Afterwards you’ll receive two emails from us: We’ll confirm your registration immediately and send you a final confirmation soon after.

For AFQC 2025: Impact we try to include all perspectives from startups to research, industry, politics & policy. That’s why we chose three ways too look at the quantum computing ecosystem: as a functional system in itself, as a system of technological systems and as a system of economic relationships. These are three perspectives that can be applied across the ecosystem, i.e. where someone from the university can/should have just as much of a say as someone from the industry user side or from a middleware manufacturer.

Strong Ecosystem

What do we need in general for our ecosystem (from research, industry, start-ups, associations, politics/policy, etc.) to function better? What new, modified structures are necessary, what exactly is the problem, which roles are unclear, etc.?

Working Technologies

ow can we come together better in terms of technology? What technological tools such as benchmarking, standards and norms, technological infrastructures such as Git or platforms do we need? Where are the gaps in our supplier systems? What do industrial customers expect from start-ups in order to be able to do business with them at all? What technological skills do start-ups and industry need from universities?

Performing Startups

How can startups develop better quantum computing products? What makes collaboration with industry difficult? What do VCs really need? What do startups expect from universities and the state? How do startup products and industry/research demand come together better? What needs to change in terms of IP/export controls etc.?

Our aim is for a cross-section of the ecosystem to enter into productive dialogue with each other and for all ecosystem representatives to be able to contribute their perspectives, so that every voice really counts. That’s why AFQC 2025: Impact is a meaningful and impactful event for everyone who is either active in quantum from academia, deep tech startups and industry to policy/politics organisations.

AFQC 2025: Impact is a conversation between all participants. At the end we agree to change certain things that hinder the progress of the whole ecosystem. To make the discussion more goal oriented we chose to split it in three (und unite it again in the end).
